WOOD 1920
BOIS 1920 reflects the Galardi family's passion for the art of perfume making. It all started in 1920 when Guido Galardi, the founder of the company, collected lavender from the hills around Florence to create the first recipes - with success. He then founded the Bottega Italiana Spigo (BOIS) in his hometown of Florence, where he subsequently sold essential oils, fragrant tinctures, perfumes and fragrance sachets.
With his son Renato, the chapter on perfume manufacture ends temporarily because he had other life plans. But the story continues. Guido's sensitivity and artistic talent are passed on to his grandson Enzo, who visited Piero at the age of 14, a great expert in the world of fragrance extracts. As Enzo Galardi reinterprets his grandfather's original recipes, he discovers the meaning of fragrances as a form of artistic expression. He makes his dreams come true. With the establishment of the BOIS 1920 fragrance brand, he continues the history of the family.
The result is extraordinary and fascinating creations that combine the values of the Florentines and the history of the Galardi family and are available as exclusive niche products in selected perfumeries and concept stores. Since 2017, the Galardi family, under new management, has been building on the global success story of the brand, which has committed itself to tradition and the highest level of perfection as the values of its manufacture.
