The history of the Farmacia SS pharmacy, still located in the beautiful city of Florence, goes back to 1561, when it was first mentioned in a document and was adopted by the herbalist and chemist Domenico di Vincenzo di Domenico Brunetti from the Benedictine nuns who operated it at the time.
The name “Farmacia SS. Annunziata” actually points to a Christian background: the insignia above the pharmacy entrance door shows a representation of the proclamation, which probably dates from the 18th century. The interior also originated during this period and can still be admired in the Farmacia. The over 200-year-old decorative pharmacy jugs on the dark wooden shelves are particularly eye-catching.

After the Farmacia had changed hands several times, it was finally bought by the Azzerlini family, who have now run it for three generations. Following tradition, the Farmacia SS. Annunziata company still produces skin and body care products for which the pharmacy has been known for centuries, as well as shaving accessories and fragrances, all made from high-quality and exquisite ingredients using the latest technology.
